May 03, 2019 by Gems Secrets in EDM, Remix

WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY:

BEAUZ released their remix of Anja Kotar’s ‘Kids’ last week and upon hearing it for the first time, we were immediately hooked. It’s fun, it’s catchy, and it packs an edgy flair that keeps things interesting from start to finish. But it’s not just the production that came out amazing, Anja Kotar’s infectiously catchy style seems to win us over every time. It’s amazing how natural this remix feels and if we were being completely honest, we wouldn’t mind hearing an original one day between these two… it’s that good.

If you’re a fan of pop-inspired dance music, you’re going to love this. Perfect for a night out with friends or for your next DJ set, you’ll have your friends singing a long in no time.

Don’t forget to connect with the artist’s online to stay up to date on any upcoming releases and enjoy!

WHAT THE ARTIST HAS TO SAY:

"I was so excited to connect with BEAUZ for this remix as I’ve been a fan of their music for quite some time now! It was really eye opening to give the song into someone else’s hands and let them present it with their own vision and style. I absolutely love the end product: I like to say it’s 'Kids', but if you played it on a beach at sunset." — Anja Kotar

WHAT THE ARTIST HAS TO SAY:

“Since the inception of RL Grime, I’ve had this goal in the back of my mind to start my own label. My Halloween mixes have always been an outlet for me to curate and showcase new music, but the natural next step for me was to start a label. My whole life I’ve been obsessed with the process of searching for and finding what’s next, and this is a way for me use my platform to highlight emerging talent that I believe in. “Arcus” is the first release, and it felt like the perfect song to set the tone for what Sable Valley is about.”

We're obsessed with Jack Laboz's remix of LÉON's 'Baby Don't Talk'

January 17, 2019 by Gems Secrets in EDM, Remix

WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY:

Here’s a remix to jumpstart your day... our good friend Jack Laboz just released this insane pop remix of LÉON’s ‘Baby Don’t Talk and I think we’ve listened to it about 50 times already this morning.

The rich vocal work mixed with Jack’s creative input blends the likes of brass horns, soaring vocal chops, and an upbeat rhythm that’ll have you up and dancing around in no time.

Go ahead and brighten up your day and give this remix a proper spin, you won’t regret it. Don’t forget to connect with Jack Laboz online to stay up to date on what’s happening next and enjoy!

WHAT THE ARTIST HAS TO SAY:

"I missed my train from Berlin to Belgium while studying abroad a few weeks ago. I then panicked, compulsively boarded the wrong train, sat on the floor of a packed car headed to Düsseldorf and started this remix. Yep wasn't the most ideal situation for studio space lol. The goal for this remix was to combine European dancehall with American indie-pop. That said, LÉON has also been one of my favorite artists for a while, and when "Baby Don't Talk" came out, I knew I had to put my own spin on the record." — Jack Laboz

I started this baby when I was living in Syndey for a few weeks. I was having a pretty tough time being so far from home, but working on this always made me feel a lot better. This track really feels like a culmination of all that I've learned over the years as a producer, and because of that, it means a great deal to me. I hope you all can feel a similar way when listening to this! Big ups to @WAFIA and @LouisTheChild for making the OG version - nothing can compare to that beautiful song, but I hope this comes close! Huge shoutout to the absolute legend @JNTHNStein for helping out with all the mixing and mastering - you really helped make this the banger that it is. Share this with everyone you know, yadda yadda yadda, I'll shut up now Love you all, Max ------------------------------------------- twitter --> twitter.com/JustMaxsMusic instagram --> instagram.com/juustmaax facebook --> facebook.com/JustMaxsMusic snapchat --> snapchat.com/add/maxthebanana ------------------------------------------- Artwork by Masaolab --> www.instagram.com/masaolab/

Just Max releases first single of 2019, stream it here — 'Better Not'

January 04, 2019 by Gems Secrets in Electronic, EDM, Remix

WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY:

Just Max released a flip of Louis The Child’s ‘Better Not’ (feat. Wafia) and it’s definitely worth checking out. Infusing live guitar, euphoric drops, and a colorful and melodic soundscape, Just Max delivers an awe-dropping experience that will send chills up and down your spine (don’t forget to close your eyes to get the full effect).

We admire what Just Max pulled off with this release and we look forward to hearing more from the young producer in the coming months. Knowing what he can do with a flip, we can only imagine what an original would sound like.

Don’t forget to subscribe to Just Max online to stay up to date on what’s happening next and enjoy!

WHAT THE ARTIST HAS TO SAY:

“I started Better Not when I was living in Sydney for a couple weeks. I was having a pretty tough time being so far from home, but working on this track always made me feel a lot better. I started off with some piano chords and soon realized that Wafia's voice would fit beautifully into what I was creating. I've been such a big fan of Louis The Child, and it was such an honor to work with vocals from one of their songs.

I really put everything I've got into this track, and it feels like a culmination of all that I've learned as a producer over the years. Playing the piano and guitar in this song made it very personal to me, and I hope whoever listens to it can feel something similar to what I felt when making this.”

December 09, 2018 by Gems Secrets in EDM, House

For our readers who enjoy deep melodic house music.. Curtis Lowe and Naomi Wild teamed up to deliver this euphoric new dance track titled ‘Breaking Me’. The track kicks off with lush piano chords and soon leads into a beautiful vocal chop-infused drop.

We love the sounds and design Curtis utilized throughout the production and we can’t wait to hear more from him in the months to follow. Don’t forget to connect with Curtis Lowe online to stay up to date on what’s happening next and enjoy!

WHAT THE ARTIST HAS TO SAY:

This is a project about collaborations more than anything. I’ve been writing songs with some great musicians and friends over the last year and am excited to begin releasing music under Curtis Lowe. The songwriting happened in a variety of sessions in NYC and LA, but most of the production was done alone in my apartment in Brooklyn. I drew a lot of the inspiration for the sonics of the project from 90’s House / Chicago House music, married with modern production elements, and darker songwriting themes. — Curtis Lowe
