girlhouse—real name Lauren Luiz—returns with a warm, grungy new single titled 'happy now'. Following up from the release of her highly-praised ‘the girlhouse ep’ back in May, the fast-rising bedroom-pop star returns in stellar form. With a raw, honest sound, Lauren channels an indie-rock aesthetic with the new single and we’re obsessed.

Lauren says "happy now is about trying to make someone else happy at the expense of your own mental health. I wrote it shortly after moving to Nashville and had a lot of anger at the time. it was recorded and produced in the basement of a frat house in Nashville."

Releasing the single alongside the announcement of a string of live shows, support for both The Snuts on their US tour and Coach Party on their UK stint, girlhouse is a force to be reckoned with, the new single only adding to her impressive catalogue.
