"I missed my train from Berlin to Belgium while studying abroad a few weeks ago. I then panicked, compulsively boarded the wrong train, sat on the floor of a packed car headed to Düsseldorf and started this remix. Yep wasn't the most ideal situation for studio space lol. The goal for this remix was to combine European dancehall with American indie-pop. That said, LÉON has also been one of my favorite artists for a while, and when "Baby Don't Talk" came out, I knew I had to put my own spin on the record." — Jack Laboz

“I started Better Not when I was living in Sydney for a couple weeks. I was having a pretty tough time being so far from home, but working on this track always made me feel a lot better. I started off with some piano chords and soon realized that Wafia's voice would fit beautifully into what I was creating. I've been such a big fan of Louis The Child, and it was such an honor to work with vocals from one of their songs. 

I really put everything I've got into this track, and it feels like a culmination of all that I've learned as a producer over the years. Playing the piano and guitar in this song made it very personal to me, and I hope whoever listens to it can feel something similar to what I felt when making this.”
