L.V.S.T releases "Taste Like Summer" a summer indie pop anthem

L.V.S.T (pronounced 'Lust') was created in the moment, for the moment. Elias Carter & Dillon Cain met after gate-crashing a David Guetta afterparty in Ibiza last summer. They bonded over the idea of writing a song about their meeting. Fuelled by the freedom of the island they quit their jobs in England and spent the summer making music in Ibiza. Finding work selling boat trips by day and writing by night, L.V.S.T was born. ‘Taste Like Summer’ is a celebration of how they met and the two women that brought them together.

"Taste Like Summer" is a testament to the pair’s friendship that brought them to write and marks as a beginning for the budding music group, with a sound they call 'Balearic Pop'. With the pair’s finesse of writing and self-producing dancefloor smashers, L.V.S.T have surged together a stylistic mix of 80’s funk and contemporary pop. With a focus of sensuous live instrumentation layered over a infectious pop landscape, ‘Taste Like Summer’ is set to be a pinnacle of summer playlists.

Shan Vincent de Paul shares "Slow Love" feat. Yanchan

Continuing his slew of summer releases, Toronto’s Shan Vincent de Paul unveils his latest single “Slow Love”. Showcasing his songwriting range, Shan links up with fellow Sri Lankan artist Yanchan to deliver an infectious summer anthem. Fusing influences from classical South Asian sounds with an Afrobeat groove and a hint of Trap, “Slow Love” makes for an undeniable feel good love song. 

“It’s a melancholic love story disguised in a sweet rhythm. It’s about finding love with someone for the second time, inspired by Joni Mitchell’s famous “you don’t know what you got, till’ it’s gone” line" 

Produced by fellow sideways artist La+ch and Toronto up-and-comer Yanchan, “Slow Love” is a tasteful take on the popular island groove while fusing Shan’s Sri Lankan roots into the mix. The song will appear on Shan’s upcoming project “SVDP 1” to be released mid-August.
