This is by far one of the more unique and forward thinking records we've covered on Gems and Secrets. A true definition of a "Gem"... this record from Danny Barwick is a very cinematic, very atmospheric record that almost hypnotizes the listener from start to finish. Are you ready for something different?
Danny Barwick is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer from Melbourne, Australia. He began his career in 2012 as a drummer, recording and touring for many projects before taking a break in 2015 to study Philosophy. After his study, he was inspired to explore sampling and electronic production, and soon uploaded three experimental remixes which went on to achieve over two million streams on Spotify and iTunes. This laid the path for the creation of ‘Distance’, a debut EP of entirely original material written and recorded in his home studio.
We love this new Surauchie music video. Shot by David Morales, Surauchie is seen vibing & flaunting her body in the water by the beach with a beautiful backdrop of an island behind her as she sings about the love and addiction that she has for her partner. The song is produced by her label-mate Prodbyangel and it's a very seductive, very feel good R&B / soul record. We love Surauchie's voice and her image. We can't wait to hear more from the artist and hopefully we don't have to wait too long to hear more from the talented artist. Till then, I guess we'll just have to keep this on repeat! Enjoy :)
This is Nellie S's debut single and it's quite the record. Stirring into the dance music world, the singer/songwriter I think it's safe we have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. "Make Love" is Felmax's newest self-released tune after recent releases with heavy hitting outlets Dim Mak, Trap Nation, and Spinnin'. He teams up with experimental group Purge for the single, elaborating on Felmax's aggressive style with an incredibly eclectic vibe. The track starts out with dark trap/dub stylings before unexpectedly morphing into Jersey club, finishing out the tune with a dose of refreshing eclecticism. This is a really beautiful song. thexuknowns are a mysterious group that we haven't learned a whole lot about but with music like this they definitely have our attention.
