Every now and then we get something really special. A rare gem of its kind and today, new Harlee is that special gem. From a small town in the U.K. called Warrington (straddled between Manchester and Liverpool), Harlee has always known that she wanted to be a singer. She's been putting in her 10,000 hours—in terms of both singing and songwriting—for years, starting at age 11, when she began covering songs and posting them on her YouTube channel. At 12, she was gigging wherever she could in cities like Liverpool and Manchester. By 13, she was penning her own tracks. And this summer, at 17, after years of honing her craft, she signed to Steve Madden’s 5Towns Records.

It only takes one listen to Harlee’s debut single, “Holding On,” to know she is very much a natural. Already, Harlee’s music feels both vulnerable and self-assured, which is rare for a new artist. 5Towns Records will release “Holding On," and a debut EP will follow shortly thereafter. Harlee is co-writing all of the music for her upcoming EP and has collaborated with producers including Sky Adams (Ella Eyre, Rixton), and Knightstarr (Anne-Marie, Janelle Monae).
