Kendall Morgan - Undertow

We're big fans of R&B and when we heard Kendall Morgan's new track we knew we had to share it with you. Kendall Morgan has been a songwriter for nearly as long as she could write at all. Born and raised in Nashville, she grew up in the church singing hymns and writing her own songs. Taking in the rich musical culture surrounding her as fodder for her current musical composition, Kendall Morgan's music is full of diverse sounds that range from deep soul, blues and R&B. Her work in hip-hop like on Yo Gotti's "Don't Come Around" in 2013 has stayed with her in her storytelling and lyricism. She composed and recorded in IV Joshua Tree, with these many influences shining through in the organic and infectious soul of "Undertow." Taking influence from electronic music with light LFOs and wobbles all intertwined with the smooth sounds of an organ like pad. It's a very gentle record perfect for setting the mood on those late nights. We love it and we're always excited to share good music with you. We LOVE this new Chaos Chaos music video for "Dripping With Fire" 👀 💕

Check out this gem from Chaos Chaos. Their new song "Dripping With Fire" got an incredible visual for it and we had to share it with you today. The New York based pop duo made up of sisters Asy and Chloe Saavedra are going on tour and you should check them out when they stop in your city. 

The band says, "We wanted to shed light on a more true sisterhood by recalling the memorabilia of damaging [and healing] as the somewhat conflicted foundation. The deeper our sister bond was, the more we lost ourselves in each other; "You made me forget myself so much that when myself came running back it came back to me loudly". This video is us reopening the pandora’s box of sisterhood and accepting its polarity. It provides a glimpse of our dynamics transferred through the natural, improvised filming over the course of two days with director Stephanie Dimiskovksi. Inspired by Tina Barney’s portraits of families and Crystal Moselle's documentary The Wolfpack, we wanted to highlight these family dynamics and rituals that become normalized."

Asy and Chloe began their careers as preteens in Seattle as the band Smoosh touring and performing with the likes of Bloc Party, Sleater Kinney and Cat Power.Now, as Chaos Chaos, the sisters blend analog synth landscapes with rich harmonies and programmed/live drums to construct a sound akin to PJ Harvey, Stereolab, and Little Dragon, fusing the spirit and aggression of punk in the context of pop. They have composed music for Rick and Morty and Lucifer, and have released their latest single Terryfold in collaboration with Justin Roiland.

Kid Indigo - "Dojah"

Kid Indigo (Madison Fischer) is one of the many young talents coming out of the northwest. Madison currently has several albums under his belt as a co-front man with his five peace indie pop band Foreign Talks. In early 2016 Madison decided to put out a couple of solo projects under the name Kid Indigo. In true "Indigo Child" fashion, Madison effortlessly cross steps between several different genres. With his blend of indie pop and acoustic ballads as well as his melodic pop–rap songs with R&B and reggae influences. Kid Indigo is able to reach and capture the College crowd, filling his music with references to party culture, love lost and young adulthood.

Even though the song was released 10 months ago, we're hoping we'll be able to listen to some new material soon. 

Holy Oysters share this cool music video for their new song "Methylene Blue"

Well we're all about sharing those rare gems with you and this next one from Holy Oysters is no exception. Described by frontman Max Tribèche as “the most experimental song I’ve ever written,” ‘Methylene Blue’ is a celestial foray into the band’s offbeat psyche. Like their last single ‘Just So You Know,’ ‘Methylene Blue’ draws influence from ’00s R&B, reinterpreted through the filter of the band’s trademark psychedelic pop. 

Speaking about the track, Tribèche says: “The song is about a girl, but I was imagining a ’00s R&B girl band singer singing it. This AKAY & Ayelle collab is seriously next level

Today we have something really really really special for you. This gem comes from recent Majestic Casual signee AKAY. This slow burning RnB gem, "Lights Out" is building around "falling for someone who is unavailable, but they're falling for you too, and you have to savour every moment you have together in the dark", AKAY teamed up with rising Swedish-Iranian vocalist Ayelle to truly bring the track home and it couldn't be any more perfect. Oh and by the way, the knock you hear totally freaked us out too (😂)

"During the production of this track I focused on using percussive elements that sounded unique to what I hear on the radio. R&B always gave me this really sexy vibe and I try to emulate that in my songs. I'm a big fan of using sustained synths to create a relaxed vibe," says Jed (aka AKAY)
