Rising hip-hop artist HVNCOQ out of Melbourne is shaking up the underground. Drawing inspiration from Mos Def to Night Lovell to Chance the Rapper, his melodic flow effortlessly glides over the spacey trap beat produced by Mattix. The video directed by Millhaus is playful yet depressing as the singer celebrates his birthday party alone with the exception of his giant teddy bear friend. Though the lyrics might be on the sad side, the beat is actually uplifting giving the song a really interesting dynamic.
