“I wanted to make a track that was upbeat, happy, and banged, yet still encompassed my style as an artist. Making an optimistic chord progression, the trap drums, groove, and wavy synth pattern for me described a feeling of being on top, achieving what you want to do, killing it, and having the time of your life while doing it. I called the beat “Bands Up, Ran Up” and then sent it to Clyde who felt the same vibe, and the rest is history.”

With little promotional support and no major label involvement, he racked up 1M+ streams on Spotify within 4 months of its release (November 1st, 2016). The fan-favorite single, “Magic,” was featured on a video blog by Gary Vaynerchuk, and subsequently placed on two staple Spotify playlists, Discover Weekly and Hip-Hop Central. The song peaked at #9 on the Spotify Viral 50 chart. 

This is the perfect testament to Clyde Kelly's sound and the contributing factor to Clyde's growing fanbase, the music is dope. Joseph Royal wrote the story for his new music video and it's pretty badass. The entire song talks about a back and forth relationship that always end in sex as the conclusion. Well, the video did an amazing job at looping a toxic cycle of two lovers and we thought it was pretty fascinating of the artist to deliver something as creative and as visually pleasing as this. We love videos that tell a story and it really makes the song that much better. This BLYNE and Chu collab is incredible, 'Don't You Ever'

BLYNE and Chu released this gem about a month ago and luckily for us, the cool thing about dope music is it never expires. For all of our listeners who enjoy soulful vocal production over a colorful and bright instrumental. Mixing elements of electronic music and soul, BLYNE and Chu deliver a timeless gem that'll have you humming and singing a long. It's such a relaxing song we recommend listening to it when you're lounging around after a long day (or anytime you find suitable tbh).
