Trap lord UZ blesses us with new single and LP 'Rebirth'

Trap lord UZ has always been one of the most mysterious and influential characters in the electronic music scene, disguising his identity and often disappearing for long periods of time between each release. Today we've been blessed with a 9-track LP from UZ entitled Rebirth that pays homage to the authentic and groundbreaking trap roots that define his style. Out on his own imprint Quality Goods Records, the LP is introduced by a track of the same name that sets the perfect tone for the rest of the collection. Rebirth sets an eerie tone with vocal snippets and dark brass samples that carry into the sample-based flurry of trapped-out percussion, 808's and wonky leads that we've come to know and love from UZ. He's less reliant on a melodic hook here and we love it. You can feel the raw energy of the artist as he performs, which in doing so, highlights one of the many talents the Nashville rapper posses. Produced in partnership with Beats Headphones, the music video for 'twenty eighteen' features nobigdyl. rocking a pair of Beats, which, the song reveals, "can be key in tuning out unwanted noise, especially from voices with ulterior motives".
