Alice Gray delivers her best work yet with 'Lay Down'

Alice Gray is constantly raising the bar and is consistently delivering quality work but 'Lay Down' may be her best work yet. Why? Well for starters, we felt like we got to witness a more intimate version of Alice's writing style and we felt that there was a clearer focus on the vocal production rather than relying on fancy tricks and over-produced instrumentals. Alice has an incredible gift when it comes to writing and that really proved to be true here.

And the talent only starts from there. This time, on top of yet another solid release, Alice delivered an impressive music video to go along with it that was also directed, choregraphed, and performed by herself. 

"When I wrote this song I was a wreck, but writing, directing and performing it has turned that mess into the utmost gratifying project I've worked on."

We love where Alice is headed and with each and every release, we fall deeper into our appreciation for the artist and we honestly can't wait till everyone else catches on. Enjoy!

Kick back and enjoy this soulful R&B gem from Rosé and dylAn

One of our latest obsessions come from the incredible Rosé and rising hip-hop artist dylAn. Titled 'Pieces', we were immediately drawn in by the warm production style and the slow rhythmic energy from the drums.

Rosé delivers a jaw-dropping vocal performance and provides a deep level of imagery with her lyricism and unique vocal style while dylAn provides an important contrast to the record with his raw energy and creative word play when delivering his verses. 

We've been enjoying the hip-hop artists vocal style for some time now so we were excited to see this collaboration come about when it did and we can only hope to hear future work from both of the artists in the near future. But until then, I suppose we'll keep 'Pieces' on repeat. Enjoy!

Johann Beach releases a catchy summer pop tune—'Over Getting Over You'

Yeah so summer is here and the weather is heating up but at-least we have a stream of fresh music to cool things off. To kick things off we have this newly released single from electro-pop artist Johann Beach and there's a few things we really love about this song. First, Johann's vocal style is infectiously catchy and is without a doubt one of the biggest selling points with this song. Second, the production takes a very minimalistic approach that's both fun and easy to listen to.

We're slightly obsessed with Out There's and Ella Poletti's 'What To Do'

The track was released a couple weeks ago and we're still going hard on the repeat button. Out There's colorful and exciting production stye is enough to keep our attention no matter how many times we click play and that alone is pretty incredible. The wonderful Ella Poletti brought their best work to the table and solidified the hit with her incredible vocal performance.

CIRRRCLE drops impressive music video for 'Talk Too Much' — Watch here!

CIRRRCLE is a "Tokyo via Los Angeles" based trio that includes lead singer Amiide, rapper Jyodan and music producer, A.G.O.. In 2017 they released two EPs; 'Cycle' and 'Summer Project' followed by two hit singles 'PETTY' and 'Watch'—which we both covered here on Gems & Secrets. 

We really love the creative energy the group brings to their music and their music videos are always entertaining and fun. This one may just be their best yet... but who knows? The group is full of surprises and we're blown away every time.

Mountain Bird returns with jaw-dropping music video — 'Moment' (feat. Lara)

We went crazy over Mountain Bird's last music video and today we're thrilled to share their latest, 'Moment', featuring vocalist Lara. The Black Mirror meets Blade Runner inspired music video was directed by Christoffer Nilsson and is set in a near-future alternate reality. The video is the first of what will eventually form as a trilogy for Swedish producer Mountain Bird's forthcoming videos. But besides that, not only did we love the music video but Mountain Bird tends to deliver such a beautiful and simple production style that leaves us speechless everytime.
