We recently had the pleasure of reviewing BAYNK’s latest release, ‘Settle’, featuring singer/songwriter Sinead Harnett, also known for her collaborations with Snakehips, Disclosure, Kaytranada, Ryan Hemsworth, and Rudimental… together these two artists deliver a wonderful and vibrant pop-influenced electronic gem.

The new song features a vocal style so exciting and so moving, it’ll leave pull you in immediately and leave you wanting more. Sinéad’s vocal work and writing style is truly a work of art. Her ability to portray her lyrics with such rich imagery is powerful and poetic. Elevate that and fuse BAYNK’s colorful and melodic production style and you have some of the most thrilling work we’ve heard all month.

BAYNK details, "Meeting Sinead for the first time was like seeing a friend I hadn’t seen in 10 years. Catching up about what we’d missed over the years led to settle being written. I didn’t want to overshadow the touching vocal with intense production so I left it minimal and let the words dictate the music. Can’t wait for you all to hear it, Sinead’s voice is incredible."  

Harnett adds, "The first day I met Baynk was the day we wrote settle. As soon as I walked into the room I felt like he was family. I always enjoy those writing sessions the most because you feel comfortable enough to open up. The story behind the song was based on the in between before you’re with someone and after you’ve started seeing each other. That dreaded unknown and the confession that you do want it to move forward. BAYNK’s clean heart translates in his music and I’m so excited for us to do more together!"

‘Cold Blooded’ is the latest from Jarami and we’re absolutely obsessed. The energy in this track is electrifying and we can’t get over how fun and energetic the vocals are. Everything from the funky guitar work to the driving bass-line, this record has it all.

Jarami is Swedish producer duo consisting of Jacob Olofsson and Rami Dawod. The two artist’s connected 8 years ago in their local jazz scene and formed officially back in 2015. The duo has been making their own colorful blend of soul, house, and electronic infused music ever since.

Unlike many producer duos, Jarami is the sole creator and mastermind behind all of their music, visuals, and artwork. They write, sing and perform all of their own music and they certainly grabbed our attention with their latest.

Electronic producer Duskus released a gem over the week that we’ve been eager to share with you. Titled, ‘Longtime’, the house-infused electro track features a colorful and melodic soundscape inter-layered with chopped up vocals and a driving house beat that’ll get you up and dancing along.

The London-based artist is gearing up to release a string of records that’ll feature his vocals, much like this one, and we’re awfully excited about it. Duskus has a creative and unique style that we can’t get enough of and we look forward to covering his music in the coming months.

You're going to love this music video from Abby Diamond — 'Irrelevant'

WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY:

Okay, before our brains explode with out awesome this track is, allow us to at-least explain why.

‘Irrelevant' is the latest from singer/songwriter Abby Diamond. Their new song highlights some of Abby’s rich lyrical writing style and her smooth, angel-like voice.

Also, if you’re a fan of slow, future-like R&B, the track has a really spacey and colorful soundscape that you won’t be able to turn off. The drums are crisp and sharp and the little details throughout the production really make the track pop out to us.

And last but definitely not least, what Abby did with the visuals is both creative and inspiring. We love the direction she took color, look, and design-wise and we absolutely love the cinematography. I think you can safely consider us a fan after seeing all of this and we honestly can’t wait to see where she goes from here.

Dirtyphonics releases new song 'Scorpion' on their 10th anniversary

WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY:

Parisian electronic trio, Dirtyphonics, released their 10th anniversary record last week ‘Scorpion’. This is a really exciting release, and not for obvious reasons. Yeah the group has been around for nearly a decade. Forging their reputation early on with remixes for Skrillex, Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Nero, Diplo, Zeds Dead, Kaskade, which lead to their first label signing and debut album, "Irreverence" on Dim Mak Records in 2013.

But what really makes this track special, is the underlying classic drum n bass sound that started it all. We can’t get over how much of a throwback this track feels. What the group did here is absolutely incredible and if you’re a drum n bass fan at all, you’re in for a nice treat. Enjoy!
