From my perspective, it's about stepping outside of your own cycles and re-evaluating why you're where you are, and if you're really okay with your proposed trajectory. Lines like "thinkin’ bout sleeping on the couch while they're off in their own minds" is a concrete example, that, although somewhat literal, personally evokes some sort of mental removal from everyday scenes. Tobias Dray is the latest and greatest to land on our radar and for good reason. The electronic producer is putting out some insane music at the moment and his most recent single proves just that. Titled ‘Carousel’, the new dance tracks features singer/songwriter Benita and I think it’s safe to say that this is one of our favorite collaborations we’ve heard all month. If you’re a fan of mellow house beats and colorful vocals, ‘Carousel’ is right up your alley.

“The song is about being infatuated with someone who you don't usually go for. It's about not being able to see a clear view of this person but you are being manipulated by their words into believing they are good for you. The lyrics "I'ma give you something unforgettable. Quit talking, show no tell, come and ride on my carousel" can mean so many things but it's what you make it to be. The carousel simply symbolizes one who manipulates you into entering their world of games... leaving you confused about what their intentions really are.”

The carousel symbolizes one who manipulates you into entering their world of games, leaving you confused about what their intentions really are. The song almost represents someone being trapped in this world where they are not able to tell what is real and what is true to them on a romantic level.
