K H W E Z I - Dreamcatcher feat. Matthew Sperring

South African sensation, Khwezi, has come a long way since his early days of making beats on the school computer and uploading them to Myspace. Khwezi’s more recent exploits include production credits on Grammy award winning song, Me Soltaste by Jesse & Joy, and making his debut on Hot Source Records. When We Were Young – released earlier this year – has been a roaring success; making it on to countless playlists, and sound-tracking many music lovers’ summers. 

Swiftly following up from that initial impact, Khwezi is back again with another melodic masterpiece in the form of Dreamcatcher, featuring the vocal talents of Matthew Sperring. In his own words, Khwezi explains, “Dreamcatcher is about the dreams we all have as kids, and as we grow up, reality punishes us for dreaming. So, you can either give up and be ‘realistic’, or fight until you live your dreams.” Dreamcatcher is an ode to positivity and childhood innocence – compositionally transcendental and lyrically inspiring, it’s an excuse to take three minutes out of your day to daydream, and to dream big.
