WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY:
We’re not late to the party, we’ve actually been eager to share this record with everyone on our platform but it’s been such a hectic week that we decided to be selfish for the last few days. But wait no further! The new Men I Trust release is incredible. Not like the group has a bad song in their discography but it’s always a pleasure to hear the latest from the Montreal-based band.
WHAT THE ARTIST HAS TO SAY:
“‘Seven’ is a light-hearted song that tells a story which happened last summer to our friends, while we were all at a get-together in a cabin by a lake in the countryside of Quebec. ‘Seven’ thus started as a summer memory for us.
The music video we shot and directed recreates that light late-summer outdoor feel. We chose to film again with our friends Julia, Sophie and Fannie (featured in ‘Lauren,’ ‘You Deserve This’ and ‘I Hope To Be Around’) and it was lots of fun, so much that we almost forgot we were shooting a music video. We all got together at our friend’s country house - a dream setup! - where there are lots of nearby forests, high grass, rivers and lakes. After long periods of time spent on the road, and during pre-tour rehearsals, we like to spend time in places like this that feel like a Canadian retreat.”
