We’ve been following Blake Mathews career for some time now. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona. The singer and songwriter has spearheaded a variety of music projects and bands from over the years. From dance music to psychedelic rock to even hip-hop and pop… Blake (real name Matthew Baratz) has done his fair share in cultivating a unique sound that his cult following has fallen in love with time and time again.
But despite his creative touch, what really makes the artist pop is his ability to convey such complicated emotions through storytelling and his raw and often honest writing style. Touching on topics like living with bi-polar, mental health, depression, self-identity, and purpose… there’s not a topic that Blake feels too shy on exploring. Sure, it’s possible that at times these topics can feel overbearing or heavy, which is why it’s just as common to find a collection of gems from Blake that are meant to get in the groove and celebrate life.
