WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY:
American/French producer MarMar has been steadily building anticipation over the past few months with a string of impressive singles, including "Call On You," "Try" (featuring LUUNG), "Heart," "Imposter" (featuring Becca Kreuger), and "Without." Each release hinted at a larger project, and now that promise has been fulfilled with the release of his new EP, "Feel Okay."
This highly anticipated EP is spearheaded by its previously unheard title track, "Feel Okay," a deeply personal song in which MarMar opens up about his battle with OCD and the relentless struggles it brings.
In MarMar's own words: “'Feel Okay' is a tough track for me to even talk about. It's about my battle with OCD and the constant struggle in my mind. The journey through diagnosis and treatment has been a hellscape, and I needed a way to externalize that. This track is special and difficult for me. It was tough to sing about, tough to mix, and tough to master. Just a total struggle to create and also maybe one of my favorite things I’ve ever made. I wanted to be honest about how things are in my mind sometimes, how I’m always seeking peace. I spend a lot of time wondering what it would be like to completely ‘Feel Okay.’”
"Feel Okay" stands out not only for its raw emotional honesty but also for its production quality, reflecting the intense and often painful journey MarMar has experienced. The song is a testament to his resilience and his ability to transform personal turmoil into a powerful piece of music. As the EP continues to garner attention, it’s clear that MarMar’s transparent and heartfelt approach resonates deeply with listeners.
