The song is perfect for ritzy night-clubs. The song itself is a classic pop feel: verse, pre-chorus, chorus, never feeding us with the dissonant drop phrases pervading the rest of EDM, but still holding us close with electronic textures. The whole musical spectacle makes the listener feel well taken care of blending beautifully with a kind of carelessness. Her lover is leaving, but the whole song is upbeat..so who cares, kinda? "I wanted you to stay", but you didn't. The POV knows clearly that her new flame is going to be a "memory" and I think it reminds us all to focus on the intangibility of the moment and find what happiness we can in that.
