Jan Blomqvist, is a Berlin-based solo artist and bandleader. Jan brought upon dreamy vocals and simple beats. With his band Blomqvist, they bring in dancy electro-pop; as a solo artist, he enjoys club soul. Jan Blomqvist first learned to create music with the guitar just as he had learned to play like  Keith  Richards, he realized he’ d rather be like  Mick  Jagger.  He then formed his first band in a little village in lower Saxony, Germany. At the age of 21, being an aerospace technology student, he gets acquainted with techno DJs.  It dawns on him that music could be a  profession.

Rubblebucket's new music video 'Fruity' will leave you wanting more! - Watch here!

Rubblebucket is ecstatic to announce the upcoming release of a new album. Sun Machine the LP will be released August 24 via Grand Jury Music. Today they share the first peek into Sun Machine   releasing the video for the wistful single 'Fruity'. Consequence of Sound premiered the video noting the track's "cheerful, trance-like sound filled with buoyant rhythms and smoky horns." 

Rubblebucket is Kalmia Traver and Alex Toth,  marking Sun Machine their first album for Grand Jury. Live, the band brings the party to any venue they play -- Rolling Stones has called them "the indie rock Miami Sound Machine" and Paste say they are "catchy enough to ass-kick Katy Perry off the pop charts (in a just world)." They have a handful of shows confirmed in support of Sun Machine with a full tour to be announced soon. Current dates are listed below.

In their new single, 'Santiago' the artist sings and harmonizes over glitchy beats with a dark and mysterious undertone of emotions/frustrations. It's all too easy to fall into Sam's world and to feel what Sam is feeling but nonetheless, it's pretty magical. 

“Santiago is the most meaningful song I’ve ever written. Although modern sounding, “Santiago” is actually a song 6 years in the making. It’s the story of an ongoing relationship I have with a girl I met while visiting Santiago, Chile 6 years ago. I had initially gone to Santiago to see family and learn about the culture and country my mother grew up in, but I ended up starting a friendship and falling in love with this amazing woman.”

“Over the course of the next 4 years we exchanged drunken texts and voicemails, knowing we couldn’t be together because of logistics, but still showing our love for each other. When I finally sat down to write the song, I found some voice notes we had exchanged, and it really brought me back to that time with her. I was overcome with emotion and wrote the song in a few days. It is for this reason you hear that very voicemail sampled throughout the song.”- Sam Setton

Crash Land unveils his identity in new music video 'The Path'

Crash Land has been a favorite of the blog since making their debut last year. Since then, there's been a question of who the mysterious hip-hop artist was and after a while, we started to believe we'd never get to find out. Well, that all changed this week with the artists debut music video for their new song 'The Path'. 

The video, directed by ZOMO VISUALS, takes place in a scorching hot desert. With no sign of life for hundreds of miles, we watch Crash Land as he braves the desert in search of a way home. 

We have to hand it to em', Crash Land has delivered banger after banger this year and it's honestly incredible to see just how far the artist has come. Prior to releasing the new single, Crash Land announced his new deal with Empire, hinting that a string of new releases is just around the corner.
