Noah Slee released a beautiful music video for his new single 'Stayed'—Watch it here

June 25, 2018 by Gems Secrets

Wow... Noah Slee left us speechless with his performance on his latest single 'Stayed'. His lyricism is full of passion and the track is produced in a flawless fashion. The emotional soundscape is driven by romantic R&B-styled drums interlaced with rich melodic melodies. It's a smooth and soul-felt fueld track and we thought Noah truly outshined himself with his record.

The music video is great too. We love what the cinematographer did with the lighting and if you pay attention, it does a great job focusing on the dim and emotional palette of the song. Here are a few words from the video director:

"‘Stayed’ is a solo, hallucinatory comedown set in Berlin. The music video aims to invoke that particular sense of isolation and loneliness one can feel, even when surrounded by other people. We also wanted to explore the late night/early morning end-of-the-party atmosphere, when things get a little strange. There’s a decelerated, surreal feeling that occurs when you’ve had no sleep and are in the grey area between two different mental states."

In conclusion, we love the new song and we give them our stamp of approval. If you have a moment, you should subscribe to Noah online so you can stay up to date on what's happening next. Enjoy!

Malson shares new track 'Lately You've Been Gone'

June 25, 2018 by Gems Secrets

This new track from Malson is absolutely incredible. The groovy guitar work and hazy vocal production create a dreamy atmosphere that's perfect for kicking back and relaxing all while possessing the perfect amount of groove and funk to keep the energy going. The vocal production—from singer/songwriter Strante—is infectiously catchy and if you're looking for something to spice up your Spotify playlist this summer... look no further.

"Got this demo from Strante sent to me about a year ago. He’d laid out the hook and lyrics and already titled the song. I thought it was dope so I suggested to re produce his production of the demo. Had this kind of dark vibe in mind when I started the track and it got to this banger beat with his beautiful unique voice on top that is covering the high frequencies. I want to thank him and my buddy WhoBuiltTheOcean for contributing with great writing as well. Teamwork works the best!" - Malson

Robokid goes fishing in new music video 'Fishing Lessons'

June 25, 2018 by Gems Secrets

Robokid dropped a badass music video over the weekend for his new song 'Fishing Lessons' and we definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something new and fresh. Robokid's style and overall creative vision are really cool and as the artist continues to release new material we become more and more fascinated with the artist's direction.

The video is shot and edited really well—even though the look of the video was probably not to be taken too literal because of its playful energy. And yeah sure the song is catchy too but that's not something that surprises us when it comes to the music Robokid makes—see for yourself and listen below.

Anyway, we hope you dig it and if you have a moment, be sure to connect with Robokid online so you can follow up on any upcoming releases or shenanigans. Enjoy!

Listen to fugue and junerule's latest—'identity' (feat. John Thacker)

June 25, 2018 by Gems Secrets

We love this new track from collaborators fugue and junerule. Titled 'identity', the slow paced indie-pop record features John Thacker on vocals—whom did an incredible job with both their performance and the overall message behind the lyrics. The beautiful and relaxing soundscape grabbed our attention from the start and over time we learned to appreciate the deep and emotional lyricism throughout the track. 'identity' is the perfect track to un-wind and relax to after a long day. If you dig the new song, we encourage you to check out some of the other material the artists have available online and don't forget to connect with the artists online to stay up to date on any future releases. Melanie Wehbe shares catchy new electro-pop single 'Forget You'

June 23, 2018 by Gems Secrets

Melanie Wehbe landed on our radar recently and we're thrilled that she did. The electro-pop artist shared their new song 'Forget You' with us and upon hearing it for the first time, we just knew we had to get it up on the site—ASAP. I mean cmon, who doesn't love the vocal style here? Melanie's vocal work is not only catchy and relatable, but it's fresh and intriguing. Take that and then focus your time on the production of the track, the two work extremely well. We found that the track not only possessed qualities of deep and emotional lyricism but it still had a fun and innocent upbeat energy.

The song is about the pain and frustration of not being able to let go of the one you love that has chosen a different path in life. And there you are stuck with the love, the memories and the scent that lingers in every cell in one’s body…it’s not like I can snap my fingers and forget you.” - Melanie

'Forget You' is such a fun and relatable song that Melanie's energy left us feeling eager for more. So if you enjoyed the song as much as we did, go ahead add it to your music playlists and don't forget to connect with Melanie online so you never miss an update. Enjoy!

Check out Too Many T's music video for 'Tearing Us Apart'

June 22, 2018 by Gems Secrets

"A raw and pained love song inspired by breakups; focussing on the feeling of desperation a partner feels when trying to cling on to the last remaining glimmer of hope within a relationship."—the perfect description of Too Many T's latest single 'Tearing Us Apart'. The moody lyricism and melodic production is a nice switch up from the group's norm and I think it's safe to say we love to see this side of them.

The video, created by Salthouse Studios, portrays the story of a protagonist flying through the solar system in search of something. We've always been a fan of the visual direction the group has gone with in the past. We felt like this one, in particular, did an incredible job of complimenting the story and overall mood of the track.

Check it out for yourself and share it with your friends. Don't forget to connect with the group online to stay up to date on any future releases or updates. Enjoy!

We love this new track from Noah Slee x Delusion 'Maybe'

June 22, 2018 by Gems Secrets

Noah Slee & Delusion teamed up to deliver this super catchy new tune 'Maybe' earlier this month and we just got around to checking it out for ourselves. We love the production on the track. The future R&B meets electronic inspired soundscape gives the track this raw attitude that's both fun and enjoyable.

The vocal production is probably our favorite part though.... we love the energy the artist brings to the track as he dances around the beat and invites anyone whos willing to dance and sing along.

''Maybe' plays with the energy you get when you meet someone and there's an instant connection. As long as I have been single (a while now) every encounter feels more distant and lost. When I met this guy it was different. Maybe is about the grey zone, the uncertainty, the leap your waiting for the other person to take because you don't want to. All these things you take into consideration in such a small amount of time about someone and maybe disguise it with other things to protect yourself from taking a relationship to the next step. Simplicity of something like love can be pretty complicated. Maybe is about pursuit of connection.

Working with Delusion felt natural. He is attentive and has a chilled energy. Sharing ideas back and forth was easy. Although it was a compact few days in the studio we made sure to have fun, drink wine and make the best music we could. He was on production duties and we also had some friends participate with minor details (guitar, lyric)." -

This GRAVEDGR music video is insane.... 🔥👀

June 22, 2018 by Gems Secrets

The masked phenomenon known as GRAVEDGR released an insane music video for their popular bass-heavy anthem 'Rampage'. The party anthem has become a festival favorite among artists and fans and that's because of the energetic and face-melting production. For anyone looking to turn things up this weekend, be sure to add GRAVEDGR's  'Rampage' to your playlist.

The music video is incredibly well-done and does a great job portraying the dark and chaotic soundscape of the track. In its own way, the music video creates its own horror/thriller ready film and you wouldn't even know the difference between the two.

Listen to new Overjoy—'Same'

June 20, 2018 by Gems Secrets

This new Overjoy record hits the sweet spot for us... Not only is the production exciting but its incredibly unique. The entire soundscape and atmosphere of the track carries over into a luscious palette of sounds and diverse instrumentation. The warm production and catchy vocal work are some of the best work we've heard in a long time and it's easily one of our favorite songs we've covered this month.

“We evolved a lot from Another EP, with “Same” we feel we’ve all gotten just a little bit better at our craft, we are more comfortable and confident. We also learned to compete less and let to let our partners shine when it’s their turn too.. this isn’t always an easy thing to do in bands but we are working at it.. The truth is for us to win nobody else has to lose.. we want to see more artists just going for it and not let society hinder their creativity any longer.. more art and more love in the world is what we all need... we support all artist to keep doing their thing and know u can always get better" - Metty

The production has a hazy vibe to it but without a doubt, it sparks moments of euphoria and excitement throughout the duration of the song. It's probably best that we avoid using labels or genres when describing the track because it's unique and that's what makes the song so special in the first place.

“The song same is 5 minutes and 49 seconds summation of my field notes throughout my walk-about in this lifetime. We all are searching, trying to find our identities, and figure out where they fit into the grand scheme of things. To each of us, this task seems especially personalized and unlike anyone else’s plight. We are trying to translate some peace of mind to our listeners- telling them we all go through the same damn thing.” - Lex

We're pretty confident in the production and we're excited to hear your thoughts on it. The 3-piece group is based out of Los Angeles and made their debut back in 2015. Since then, the group has rapidly grown in popularity, selling out their most recent show in Hollywood.

“We wanted a track that delivers for the dance-floor while bringing a message we can all relate to. Everybody's running from something, but by facing the thing we don't want to look at, we find that there was no problem to begin with.” - Hoff

We're really excited about the song and we hope you love it just as much as we do. Don't forget to connect with the group online to stay up to date on any future releases or updates and enjoy.
