Opening: What is to Cure? Sunday, September 16

WHAT’S HAPPENING:

Toronto-born, LA based mixed media sculptor, installation and digital artist Karen Lofgren reflects on her recent travels to Peru in her upcoming exhibition What is to Cure? By reshaping historical narratives surrounding colonialism and power through a more holistic, feminine lens, Lofgren dissolves the familiar and reaches into the void.

Materials such as aluminum, epoxy, and human hair used in Karen Lofgren's immersive installation reference ancient healing rituals such as “pulling through” and magical transference.
