Bronze Whale and Sofasound's collaboration, "How U Feeling," released in February 2024, has been reimagined by Soft Jaw, the solo project of Bronze Whale's Benny. This remix offers a fresh perspective on the original track. In this remix, Soft Jaw blends classic analog synths with warm, familiar breaks, creating a nostalgic yet contemporary soundscape. Benny explains:
"I wanted to create a project that would showcase elements of indie-rock, EDM, and hip-hop that got me into music."
The original "How U Feeling" was praised for its fusion of organic and synthetic elements, featuring live instrumentation like guitar, bass, and drums. This remix is part of the upcoming "Couch Mammals EP: The Remixes," set for release on February 7, 2025. The EP will feature various artists reinterpreting tracks from the original "Couch Mammals" EP.
